#1: Hot Vanilla

By: Tafen Spurgeon

The drives home are getting darker, colder. The trees are turning all shades of yellow, orange, and red, and the air is getting brisk, gaining its end-of-year bite. What better way to celebrate than to make an easy and warm drink?
Hot vanilla is much less mainstream than its counterpart of cocoa but no less delicious. It’s got all the spices of Fall with none of the cold. The drink itself has no exact origin, believed to come all the way from ancient Egypt but traces of it can be found all over the world from times of old to any modern kitchen.
It’s so simple to make too, only requiring a few spices, milk or milk alternative, a mug, and some honey. Who doesn’t love honey?

Costumes Through Our Childhood

By: Riley Ries

Cute and creative costumes are pretty much a defining factor for Halloween. As Halloween approaches, students look back on the costumes that they loved. Whether the costumes were just thrown together last minute, or they were very carefully planned matching costumes, it seems that dressing up for Halloween holds a very special place in their minds.
